Here are nine original photos that I took of Pennsylvania Railroad electric locomotives in Hollidaysburg and Frankstown, Pennsylvania, between 1962 and 1964. All of them were on their way to being scrapped at the PRR's Reclamation Plant.

Electric Scrap. Here is an original photo that I took in Frankstown, Pennsylvania, on 1 April 1962. Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #4777 and #4743. Both are P-5A Modified (2-C-2) electrics built in February of 1935 and rated at 3,750 horsepower each. #4777 was built by General Electric, but #4743 was built by Baldwin-Westinghouse. They're parked on the track leading directly into the PRR's Reclamation Plant. Next!

Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #4772, a P-5A (2-C-2) electric built by General Electric in November of 1932, rated at 3,750 horsepower, and retired in October of 1962 after 30 years of faithful service.

Electric Scrap. Here is an original photo that I took in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, on 24 November 1962. Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #3915, #5689, and #4708. #3915 and #5689 are B-1 (C) electrics built in Juniata and rated at 570 horsepower each. #3915 was constructed in 1926, but #5689 was built in 1934. #4708 is a P-5A (2-C-2) electric built by Baldwin-Westinghouse in August of 1932 and rated at 3,750 horsepower. All three are about to be scrapped.
