Description:
This was a 1925 B&O shops converson of class Q-1 2-8-2 #4120. Originally equipped with 24X32 cylinders and 64" drivers, it was rebuilt to 4-6-2 class P-1c #5049, retired in 1956. Specifics - P-1c, 74" drivers, 205 psi, 26½x28" cylinders, engine weight of 318,500 lb, tractive effort of 51,000 lb. No date, location or photographer was listed for this photo so approximations were used..
