Description:
With the whistle blowing and the fireman checking the water supply, this Alco-Manchester 0-6-0 yard switcher seems almost ready to start working the yard. Specs - G-10 class, 52" drivers, modest 160 psi boiler pressure, 19x24" cylinders, engine weight of 127,800 lb, The G-10 class was retired by December of 1948 although some were sold to M&WR. No location or exact day in 1943 was given for the photo but it was taken by B. Bowden in 1943.
