MEC 249
Title:  MEC 249
Description:  Back in the days when taking a photograph was an event!!! 60lb rail? Is that a '94' hanging in front of the head lamp?? Train 94 must be a freight as it isn't in any of my Passenger time tables for the pre-WWI teens. The car behind the tender looks like a freight load... /DL

Maine Central 249 was built by Baldwin in August 1897 as a Vulclain compound for the Rumford Falls & Buckfield RR as #3, became Rumford Falls and Rangeley Lakes 2nd #3 later in 1897, coverted to simple in September 1903 and became Portland & Rumford Falls #54, became MEC 249 in 1907, scrapped in June 1916.
