NS 3986 (B23-7) in the weeds on the Pine Belt Southern
A light drizzle has begun to fall on the freshly repainted yellow handrails that a painter has spent all day repainting along with the locomotive steps. This unit is about to be returned to the Norfolk Southern at Opelika as soon as CSX Roadway Department re-installs junction switch with Pine Belt Southern that had been removed due to inactivity. In a few short weeks, all the former Central of Georgia/Southern Railway/Norfolk Southern "T" line trackage will be removed by a railroad salvage company
