#5471. Here is the fifth of nine original photos of Pennsylvania Railroad engine #5471, a K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during March of 1927 and retired in August of 1956 after 29 years of faithful service. Detail of the locomotive's piston-main driving rod assembly, fireman's side. The photographer's name, the exact date, and the location are not recorded. Gary Mittner Collection.
