| Lets travel back in time to 1997 before UP bought their brand new SD70M's and renumbered former Southern Pacific Tunnel Motors. Here we find UP 4555 leading the Las Vegas-Ogden Manifest. 4555 is actually former SP 8291 and I must admit that it looks better in yellow paint. This 91 car train came through Provo from Lynndyl and is bound for Ogden. UP sold or scrapped these classic locomotives earlier this year,The track that UP 4555 and two SD40-2's has since been torn out and removed to make way for the Utah Transit Authority's front runner project. |
