Fred Goff General Bernie, my wife & I were over there to take some pictures several years ago & was talking to an old man & he was telling us about a kid riding a 3-wheeler over the bridge & lost control & fell off. It didn't kill him, but he was paralized. 6/6/2011 10:21:07 PM

Eugene Cain General Wow, how could anyone survive falling off that??? It looks very high!!! Brian has got me interested now...was this the Bridge the tornado blew down recently??? It looks like it, but the location sounds different. Great Picture!!!! 6/7/2011 1:53:21 PM

Christopher Bodkin General According to a ICG timetable, trains were reduced to 20 mph over this bridge 1/11/2012 10:43:37 AM
Christopher Bodkin General This bridge was taken down long ago before the tornado, I believe NS tore it down after the 3 wheeler accident in the mid-90's. By then NS had since stopped running trains on this section, running them on their own parrallel ex-SOU line out of Sheffield. NS filed to abandon the section between Cornith and Haleyville in December 1992. The three wheeler accident occured shortly after NS abandoned this line, in 1993. 1/11/2012 10:48:01 AM
Douglas McCoy General I can remember my grandfather and i visiting the bridge. 3/21/2012 11:38:17 AM
Christopher Bodkin General Too bad the "Rails to Trails" organization didn't get a hold of this part of the line after NS unceremoniously abandoned it, otherwise this trestle would still be standing. 4/17/2015 8:36:34 PM
