| CLOVIS NM Sept 3 1984 -- SD45-2 5685 leads a train at the west fuel racks as another westbound slowly approaches. When I was growing up in Porales in the 50s we used to go El Monterrey Mexicon food restaurant which is in the (far) background behind the trees. Many memories of my dad taking me to the yards and through the employee pedestirn underpass to the roundhouse. I remember a steam entine being in the north stall. No pictures from that era though, only fond memories. |
