| A Maryland & Pennsylvania RR tamper sits outside the engine house in York, Pa. Beneath the tamper the remains of the turntable bridge are visible. When the M&P stopped using steam the turntable became superfluous and it was eventually filled in and track laid over it. Eventually the turntable bridge became visible again through the ballast. |
