Stanberry MO was the rough mid-point and crew-change location on the Wabash's Brunswick to Omaha secondary main line The tracks were pulled up in 1986 after the failure of the Northern Missouri (NMOR) shortline. The small town placed this Wabash caboose on display downtown. It's the 2780, built at Decatur IL in 1945 and retired as NW 562780 IN 1985. |
