| WSOR local crosses the former junction with C&NW as it hauls a baker's dozen of freight cars back to Horicon via former MILW rails at Burnett, WI on Memorial Day, 25 May 15. The C&NW right-of-way is now the Wild Goose State Trail. The trail deviates from the right-of-way for a short distance from here because part of the C&NW rails are still in place to service Peachey Bros. Elevator, partially visible background left. Another part of their facility could be serviced by the MILW, out of frame to left, and that spur is also still in place. I am pretty sure the union depot stood right here, the grassy area foreground center. The station sign is at far right. |
