HOLLY. Here is an original photo that I took at HOLLY Block in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, in July of 1960. Prominent here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #8100, a BS-12 built by Baldwin Locomotive Works in February of 1954 and rated at 1,200 horsepower. It's pulling a four-car mixed-cargo freight train on the Bedford Secondary Track, and has just entered HOLLY Block on its way to the Wye Switches and the Altoona Yards. Visible in the distance are Hollidaysburg's historic "Chimney Rocks." |
