| After leaving Kankakee behind we started our jont to the Transcon. When we got to Braidwood though we noticed that the signal there was yellow for a northbound. Since mostly Amtrak trains run this line we took a look at the status map to see if any were near. It didnt show any nearby, but the signals there are absolutes so we knew that there had to be a train coming. Sure enough, almost right after it turned green a headlight popped up out of the dip and AMTK 22, the northbound Texas Eagle, came rushing by us. |
