| Byerly. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Fred Byerly that was taken in Toledo, Ohio, on 12 May 1962. The photographer is not identified. Photo Caption: "FM CFA-16-4 #9451, 1600-hp, at Toledo, Ohio." Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engine #9451 and a "C-Liner" B-unit whose road number is not recorded. Both are FF-16's built by Fairbanks-Morse and rated at 1,600 horsepower each. #9451 was constructed in September of 1950 and retired in April of 1965 after just 15 years of service. This photo comes from a color slide set entitled "Diesels On The Pennsylvania" that's produced and distributed by Blackhawk Films of Davenport, Iowa (819-11). |
