"A Picture Study Of The K-4," Page 2, 1976         
Here is page two of a 40-page booklet published by Harry P. Albrecht entitled "A Picture Study Of The K-4." First issued in October 1967, revised in September 1976. Photo Caption: "What could be more 'PENNSY' than a K-4 in the famous Broad Street Station in Philadelphia, Pa.? Here we see engine 3731 about ready to depart with a New York Express sometime in the twenties." Pennsylvania Railroad engine #3731 is a K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built in Juniata during February of 1920 and retired in August of 1952 after 32 years of faithful service. Note the white "summer" headgear on the traincrew.
