Mann. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Al Chione that was taken at the Passenger Station in Duncannon, Pennsylvania, on 13 June 1965. The photographer is not identified. Shown here (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engine #5905 and another E-8 whose road number is not recorded. Both are EP-22's built by GM-EMD and rated at 2,250 horsepower each. #5905 was constructed in April of 1951. In this context, this A-A set is pulling a passenger train that's just crossed the Rockville Bridge on its way to Altoona and points West. Partially visible is the left-to-right flowing Susquehanna River on its merry way to Chesapeake Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. ("PrrFan18n") |
