The engineer and fireman of 4021 lean out of the cab as she prepares to depart Cheyenne. 4021 had undergone maintenance in preparation for operation in 1959, but due to a strike this never came to fruition, and her last run would be in 1958. She was stored in Cheyenne, marked as unserviceable. Eventually, time would catch up to the 4-8-8-4, and the 4021 would be cut up for scrap on August 31, 1962.
