Here is page five of a seven-page cover article by Henry F. Dimmler entitled "Pennsy's New Juice Jacks." It was published originally in the February 1954 issue of "Trains & Travel" magazine, page 19. Partial Photo Caption: "Nos. 4943-4939 pull Train EC-5 away from Vern, remote-controlled interlocking at Severn, Md." Photo by H.N. Proctor. Pennsylvania Railroad engines #4943 and #4939 are E-2B electrics built by General Electric and rated at 2,500 horsepower each. #4943 was constructed in October of 1951, while #4939 was built in May of 1951; both were retired in June of 1965 after just 15 years of revenue service.
