Built by Baldwin in July of 1918 as Illinois Central 2-8-2 Mikado #1804, it would be rebuilt and renumbered to IC #2101 seen here by the IC shops in April of 1938. The loco met its end in May of 1955 when it was sold for scrap. Specs after 1938 rebuild - 64.5" drivers, 225 psi boiler pressure, 28x32" cylinders, engine weight of 335,800 lb, tractive effort of 74,078 lb. No photographer was listed for the photo. |
