PRR 5437, K-4S, 1927         
Here is a photo by an unidentified photographer that was taken in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on 14 June 1927. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #5437, a K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during March of 1927 and retired in January of 1950 after 23 years of faithful service. Note the circular number plate on the smokebox and the semaphores on the signal bridge. Gary Mittner Collection.
