Caltrain 900 leads a southbound local into San Jose. The 1985-built F40PH winds down the track-three lead, and will make a brief stop before continuing south. Caltrain 900 was built in 1985, and is the class unit of an order for 18 F40PH-2s built by EMD. 13 of these units were rebuilt with Caterpillar HEP generators, and 900 is one of these engines. |
