BNSF 2123 rests silently on a side track at Interbay. The GP38AC was originally built for the Frisco in 1971, and entered Burlington Northern ownership in the 1980 merger. The unit operated in the south for most of its BN career, before being relocated to the Pacific Northwest after the BNSF merger. Today, the unit languishes in the engine terminal at Interbay waiting for a call to service. |
