| Nice 3/4 close shot of the Morris County Central 2-8-0 Consolidaition type #385 at the Newfoundland, NJ, station. This loco was built By Baldwin in November of 1907 as SOU 2-8-0 #385. In 1947, it was sold to the Virginia Blue Ridge RR and renumbered VBR #6. Puirchased in 1963 by Earle Gil, it became Morris County Central 2-8-0 #385. The train ran excursions first on the Morristown & Erie railroad and then on a stretch near Mewfoundland, NJ. J. Warrick was on hand to take this photo before the train left. |
