Steve E General Union Pacific was using this type and style of signal back in the 50's, that's as far back as I remember seeing them thru Wyoming 8/19/2007 9:52:05 PM
Ray Thibaut General Steve Thanks for looking at my photos.I didn't know when the Union Pacific started using this Style Signal, thanks for the information!I'm not sure when CSX started replacing the old color position lights on the old Baltimore and Ohio lines but it seems like its been going on for about 10 years or so .Thus my reasoning behind using the adjective "new" in my caption. 8/20/2007 8:02:40 AM
Sean Kolker General There are so many different styles of signals, hooded aka ( sunbonnet, snow hood ),ones w/o hoods, makes it very hard to model them. I`ve seen these same ones on BNSF in Minnesota, and old GN style ones still in service, along with BN style GRS. UP seems to have had bigger backs on their hooded signals, the new ones are smaller. 12/16/2007 1:16:08 AM
