Prominent here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #4897, a GG-1 (2-C-C-2) electric built in Juniata during April of 1940 and rated at 4,620 horsepower. Partially visible at the left is PRR engine #4881, a GG-1 (2-C-C-2) electric built in Juniata in February of 1939 and rated at 4,620 horsepower. (#1 of 20)

Description:  Newark. Here is an original photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train near Newark, Delaware, during August of 1965. Shown here is PRR engine #4897, a GG-1 built in Juniata during April of 1940. It will soon arrive in Wilmington on its way North to Philadelphia and New York City with a 10-car passenger train. This photo taken at the three-track grade crossing at Milepost 35.
