Price. Here is a photo by Bill Price that was taken near Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, on 7 October 1946. Caption On Reverse: "EB Coal Train." Prominent here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6715, an M-1A built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works as an M-1A during April of 1930, rebuilt in Juniata as an M-1B by 1953, and retired in September of 1959 after 29 years of faithful service. It's passing the Huntingdon Icing Plant with a mineral train out of Altoona bound for East Coast markets. (Gift from Brad Mann.)

SFM. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Al Chione that was taken in Enola, Pennsylvania, on 8 October 1956. The photographer is not identified. Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #6715 and another locomotive whose number is not recorded. #6715 is an M-1B (4-8-2) "Mountain" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works as an M-1A during April of 1930, rebuilt in Juniata as an M-1B by 1953, and retired in September of 1959 after 29 years of faithful service.

Northbound Coal. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of a photo by Philip R. Hastings that was taken in Elmira, New York, on 5 May#1957. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6715, an M-1B (4-8-2) "Mountain" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works as an M-1A during April of 1930, rebuilt in Juniata as an M-1B by 1953, and retired in Septemer of 1959 after 29 years of faithful service. It's pulling a southbound mixed-cargo freight train out of the Elmira Yard. Note the "doghouse" on the coast-to-coast tender. This photo comes from a color slide set entitled ]Steam on the Pennsy's Elmira and Shamokin Branches" that's produced and distributed by Blackhawk Films of Davenport, Iowa (785-22).
